About

The History of Parliament is a research project creating a comprehensive account of parliamentary politics in England, Britain and then the United Kingdom, from their origins in the 13th thirteenth century. Our work has been published in large, printed volumes since 1964, and we regularly publish articles and content related to our research on this website.

All of our biographies, constituency articles and surveys are now available to search on the History of Parliament’s Research Hub.

Collaborate and Contribute

The History of Parliament is committed to producing groundbreaking and ambitious work, which is also accessible to the widest audience possible.

We are keen to work with contributors who are passionate about authoring fresh well-researched articles for publication on our website, as well as collaborating with institutions and organisations to share our knowledge and develop exciting new ways for people to engage with parliamentary history.
